IPS Empress ceramic inlays and onlays offer a highly aesthetic, minimally invasive approach to restoring posterior teeth where a full crown preparation would sacrifice unnecessary tooth structure. These all-ceramic indirect restorations are pressed or milled from leucite-reinforced ceramic and bonded adhesively to the prepared cavity, providing excellent mechanical integration with the remaining tooth and behaviour similar to natural enamel under load.
